Siemens Healthineers DCA Vantage
Also known as Bayer DCA Vantage.
ConnectivityWise puts every DCA Vantage result in your EHR the moment the run finishes and tells your staff it's ready. One simple price per location covers it, along with every other instrument you run.
Tests the DCA Vantage runs
We'll confirm which of these your DCA Vantage is configured to run during implementation.
About the DCA Vantage Analyzer
The DCA Vantage is a multi-parameter point-of-care instrument used both to monitor glycemic control and to screen for early kidney disease in people with diabetes. It runs the DCA HbA1c test from a 1 microliter fingerstick whole blood sample, with no fasting required and a result in about six minutes, and reports estimated average glucose alongside it. The DCA Microalbumin/Creatinine test uses a 40 microliter random urine sample and returns albumin, creatinine, and the albumin-to-creatinine ratio in about seven minutes. Siemens states the HbA1c test is CLIA-waived and both IFCC and NGSP certified. No sample or reagent preparation is required, and the instrument supports QC lockout and onboard storage of patient and control records. Learn more about the instrument at the manufacturer's product page.
Why practices connect the DCA Vantage
An A1c in six minutes lets you close the loop with the patient in the same visit instead of chasing them down later. That only works if the number is in the chart, so results should flow there on their own rather than being read off the screen and retyped. When the run finishes, the result reaches the record and your staff is notified.
Send DCA Vantage results to your EHR
Results from the DCA Vantage file into whichever EHR you run, matched to the order where you use one. We connect to any EHR or EMR that accepts results.
DCA Vantage connectivity questions
Can the DCA Vantage connect to my EHR?
Yes. ConnectivityWise interfaces the Siemens Healthineers DCA Vantage and posts its results into your EHR automatically, matched to the order where you use one, or filed directly where you don't. Nobody retypes a value.
Which EHRs can the DCA Vantage send results to?
Any EHR or EMR that accepts results, including Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Oracle Health, Greenway, and PointClickCare. Automatic result upload works with any order and results workflow.
Does quality control from the DCA Vantage get captured?
ConnectivityWise captures quality control results alongside patient results, so your CLIA records are complete when an inspector asks. What a given instrument reports varies by device, so we confirm exactly what your DCA Vantage emits during implementation.
What does it take to connect a DCA Vantage?
The Data Sync Agent, one small install on any Windows computer in your organization, collects results from the instrument and syncs them securely to the ConnectivityWise cloud. A single installation covers every instrument and location you have, and a named human guides the setup and validation end to end.
