About the Acucy System
The Acucy System pairs Sekisui Diagnostics' small benchtop Acucy Reader with single-use lateral-flow test cassettes. Instead of a technician judging faint test lines by eye, the reader interprets the cassette and reports an objective positive, negative, or invalid result. The FDA-cleared, CLIA-waived Acucy Influenza A&B Test detects influenza A and B nucleoprotein antigens from nasal or nasopharyngeal swabs in about 15 minutes. The reader runs two ways: Walk Away mode, where the cassette incubates inside the reader, and Read Now mode, where cassettes incubate on the bench and each is read in seconds, which keeps a full waiting room moving during flu season.
