About the Accu-Chek Inform II Blood Glucose Monitoring System
The Accu-Chek Inform II is a handheld blood glucose monitoring system built for professional point-of-care use in hospitals and clinics. It quantitatively measures glucose in capillary, venous, arterial, and neonatal heel-stick whole blood as an aid in monitoring the effectiveness of glucose control. It is not intended for the diagnosis or screening of diabetes. A result takes 5 seconds from a 0.6 microliter sample, and the test strip uses Roche's AC/DC technology, which runs more than 150 integrity checks and detects underdosed strips. The meter has a touchscreen and 2D barcode reader for patient and operator identification, a sealed housing for infection control, and wireless or wired data transfer. Learn more about the instrument at the manufacturer's product page.
Why practices connect the Accu-Chek Inform II
Bedside glucose is one of the highest-volume tests a hospital or clinic runs, and every one of those results has to end up in the chart. Moving them automatically means no docking-and-hoping, no transcription from the meter display, and no glucose value that never made it into the record. The result reaches the chart when the test finishes and staff are notified.

Accu-Chek Inform II connectivity questions

Yes. ConnectivityWise interfaces the Roche Accu-Chek Inform II and posts its results into your EHR automatically, matched to the order where you use one, or filed directly where you don't. Nobody retypes a value.
Which EHRs can the Accu-Chek Inform II send results to?
Any EHR or EMR that accepts results, including Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Oracle Health, Greenway, and PointClickCare. Automatic result upload works with any order and results workflow.

What does it take to connect a Accu-Chek Inform II?
The Data Sync Agent, one small install on any Windows computer in your organization, collects results from the instrument and syncs them securely to the ConnectivityWise cloud. A single installation covers every instrument and location you have, and a named human guides the setup and validation end to end.
