About the Pentra C400 Clinical Chemistry Analyzer
The Pentra C400 is a bench-top random-access clinical chemistry instrument from HORIBA Medical. It measures by spectrophotometry (colorimetry and turbidimetry) and by potentiometry, with an optional ISE module for direct sodium, potassium, and chloride. HORIBA publishes a maximum throughput of 420 tests per hour and up to 55 assays on board, held in barcoded reagent cassettes across refrigerated and room-temperature positions. The menu runs from routine chemistry through HbA1c, specific proteins, therapeutic drug monitoring, and drugs of abuse. Learn more about the instrument at the manufacturer's product page.
Why practices connect the Pentra C400
A chemistry instrument with a menu this broad produces a lot of numbers, and every one of them has to land in the right patient's chart. ConnectivityWise moves each result there when the run finishes, so nobody is transcribing panels off a printout and staff get notified as soon as the result is ready. Nothing is lost between the bench and the EHR.

Pentra C400 connectivity questions
Can the Pentra C400 connect to my EHR?
Yes. ConnectivityWise interfaces the Horiba Medical Pentra C400 and posts its results into your EHR automatically, matched to the order where you use one, or filed directly where you don't. Nobody retypes a value.
Which EHRs can the Pentra C400 send results to?
Any EHR or EMR that accepts results, including Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Oracle Health, Greenway, and PointClickCare. Automatic result upload works with any order and results workflow.
Does quality control from the Pentra C400 get captured?
ConnectivityWise captures quality control results alongside patient results, so your CLIA records are complete when an inspector asks. What a given instrument reports varies by device, so we confirm exactly what your Pentra C400 emits during implementation.
What does it take to connect a Pentra C400?
The Data Sync Agent, one small install on any Windows computer in your organization, collects results from the instrument and syncs them securely to the ConnectivityWise cloud. A single installation covers every instrument and location you have, and a named human guides the setup and validation end to end.
