The ABX Pentra 60 C+ is a closed-tube bench-top hematology instrument from HORIBA Medical, reporting 26 parameters as a CBC with a 5-part white cell differential. It measures by impedance, cytochemistry, and optical absorbance using HORIBA's DHSS and MDSS technologies, counting basophils through a dedicated channel and resolving two further subpopulations, atypical lymphocytes and large immature cells. HORIBA publishes a throughput of up to 60 samples per hour from 30 µL of whole blood in CBC mode and 53 µL with the differential, running on four onboard reagents and one diluent.
