About the URISPEC Plus UA Reader
URISPEC Plus is an automated urine test strip reader that removes the subjectivity of reading strip colors by eye. It works with the Henry Schein URISPEC 11-Way, 5-Way Plus, 4-Way and GP+A strips for up to 11 parameters: blood (occult), urobilinogen, bilirubin, protein, nitrite, ascorbic acid, ketones, glucose, pH, specific gravity, and leukocytes. Measurement starts automatically once the strip is placed on the instrument, with results in under a minute and a throughput of 50 test strips per hour. It prints through an integrated printer, connects over USB or RS 232, and can run on mains power or six AA batteries. Henry Schein lists it as CLIA-waived.
