About the CitoCBC Hematology Analyzer

The CitoCBC is a cartridge-based bench-top hematology instrument that reports a 16-parameter complete blood count with a 5-part white cell differential in about eight minutes. The disposable Chip cartridge integrates microfluidics, reagents, and internal quality control material, so the test uses a minimal sample volume and monthly QC. CytoChip describes it as the first cartridge-based CBC system to receive CLIA-Waived status from the FDA, with performance found substantially equivalent to laboratory instruments such as the Sysmex XN through the 510(k) process. In the US it is cleared for venous whole blood collected in K2EDTA vacutainers. In Europe it is marketed as CitoDX. Learn more about the instrument at the manufacturer's product page.

Why practices connect the CitoCBC

A waived CBC with a five-part differential in eight minutes puts a real hematology result in front of the clinician while the patient is still in the room. Getting it into the chart automatically means nobody retypes counts off a screen or chases a printout: the result reaches the patient record when the run finishes, and your staff gets notified.

CitoCBC connectivity questions

Can the CitoCBC connect to my EHR?

Yes. ConnectivityWise interfaces the CytoChip CitoCBC and posts its results into your EHR automatically, matched to the order where you use one, or filed directly where you don't. Nobody retypes a value.

Which EHRs can the CitoCBC send results to?

Any EHR or EMR that accepts results, including Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Oracle Health, Greenway, and PointClickCare. Automatic result upload works with any order and results workflow.

Does quality control from the CitoCBC get captured?

ConnectivityWise captures quality control results alongside patient results, so your CLIA records are complete when an inspector asks. What a given instrument reports varies by device, so we confirm exactly what your CitoCBC emits during implementation.

What does it take to connect a CitoCBC?

The Data Sync Agent, one small install on any Windows computer in your organization, collects results from the instrument and syncs them securely to the ConnectivityWise cloud. A single installation covers every instrument and location you have, and a named human guides the setup and validation end to end.
