About the Carolina Liquid Chemistries Immunofluorescence Analyzer RYAN
The RYAN is a compact, portable immunofluorescence instrument used with Carolina Liquid Chemistries' Fentanyl Urine Detection Kit. The kit is a fluorescence immunoassay for the qualitative detection of fentanyl in human urine at a cutoff concentration of 1.0 ng/mL, specific to the active parent compound, with results in under six minutes. Carolina Liquid Chemistries describes it as the first FDA-cleared and CLIA-categorized point-of-care fentanyl test, usable in a laboratory or at the point of care, and it produces an automated, printable result rather than a visually interpreted one. It is a single-analyte fentanyl screening instrument: it does not run general chemistry panels.
Why practices connect the RYAN Analyzer
A fentanyl screen changes what happens next in the visit, so the result needs to be in the chart, not on a slip of paper in a clinic that is already busy. Delivering it automatically means the screen is filed against the right patient the moment it completes, with staff notified, and the record shows exactly what was run and when.

RYAN Analyzer connectivity questions
Can the RYAN Analyzer connect to my EHR?
Yes. ConnectivityWise interfaces the Carolina Liquid Chemistries RYAN Analyzer and posts its results into your EHR automatically, matched to the order where you use one, or filed directly where you don't. Nobody retypes a value.
Which EHRs can the RYAN Analyzer send results to?
Any EHR or EMR that accepts results, including Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Oracle Health, Greenway, and PointClickCare. Automatic result upload works with any order and results workflow.
Does quality control from the RYAN Analyzer get captured?
ConnectivityWise captures quality control results alongside patient results, so your CLIA records are complete when an inspector asks. What a given instrument reports varies by device, so we confirm exactly what your RYAN Analyzer emits during implementation.
What does it take to connect a RYAN Analyzer?
The Data Sync Agent, one small install on any Windows computer in your organization, collects results from the instrument and syncs them securely to the ConnectivityWise cloud. A single installation covers every instrument and location you have, and a named human guides the setup and validation end to end.
