About the i-STAT 1 Wireless System
The i-STAT 1 Wireless is a handheld, cartridge-based blood analysis instrument that brings lab-quality testing to the patient's side. Each single-use cartridge carries its own combination of biosensors, so the cartridge chosen determines the panel: blood gases, electrolytes and chemistries, lactate, hematocrit, coagulation (ACT and PT/INR), cardiac markers including troponin, CK-MB and BNP, and beta-hCG. Most tests need only two to three drops of whole blood and return results in about two minutes. The i-STAT 1 Wireless is CLIA-waived.
